A Casual Look Six Teens (Flip Records, 1956)
The Six Teens were an American pop group from Los Angeles. All six members of the group were teens (or younger) at the time of their first recording. The oldest member was 17-year-old Ed Wells and the youngest was 12-year-old Trudy Williams. Under the name Sweet Teens, their debut single was Don’t Worry About a Thing. Under their new name of Six Teens, they released Teenage Promise, B-side A Casual Look. Radio loved A Casual Look and helped it hit the national charts, peaking at #7 on the Black Singles (R&B) chart and #25 on the Hot 100.
They moved to Hawaii and had a minor hit before the magic faded completely. Line-up changes followed and an eventual complete disbanding.
