Co-Ed Fever (CBS, 1979)
Attempting to capitalize on the success of the film Animal House, CBS aired Co-Ed Fever. (This was one of three TV series inspired by Animal House. The other two were ABC’s Delta House and NBC’s Brothers and Sisters.) Co-Ed Fever was cancelled after only one episode (and all three shows were gone by April 1979). Co-Ed Fever was so low rated that it never made it into its intended Monday night slot. It aired on Sunday, February 4, 1979 and it was labeled as a “Special Preview”. The plot for the series was an all-girl college starts to admit male students. Co-Ed Fever starred David Keith and Heather Thomas. 6 episodes were produced while only one aired.
Trivia: The set of the Brewster House dormitory was used as the girls’ dorm in the first season of The Facts of Life.
