Blankety Blank (BBC, 1979)
Blankety Blank was a British comedy game show which ran from January 18, 1979 to March 12, 1990 on BBC One, hosted first by Terry Wogan from 1979 until 1983, then by Les Dawson from 1984 until 1990. Regular members of the celebrity panel included Kenny Everett, Lorraine Chase, Gareth Hunt, Gary Davies, Paul Daniels and Cheryl Baker. The show was based on the 1977–79 Australian game show Blankety Blanks (which was in turn based on the American game show Match Game). The original series ran for 13 seasons. It was revived in December 1997 for another two seasons and then revived again in both 2001 and 2002 that ran on ITV. In total, 266 episodes were produced, which includes their 11 Christmas specials and 8 unaired episodes.
