Bermuda Shorts (1950s)
Bermuda shorts started out as the uniform for British soldiers stationed in Bermuda. When American tourists became enthralled, fashion magazines took notice and the shorts swept into American offices during the summer to become office wear (paired with a jacket and tie) in the 1950s.
