Pretzel Jetzel (Transogram Company, 1960s)
What was a Pretzel Jetzel? Think of an Easy-Bake oven that just made pretzels. They gave you a powder to mix with water. You poured the mixture into the provided molds. You finished by sprinkling salt on top. You then put the molds into the oven. (The oven, of course, required a 100-watt light bulb.) A few minutes later, a delicious pretzel would emerge. Mmmm, yummy. The toy worked, no doubt about that, but were the pretzels really delicious?
