Music for Tourists (Absolutely Kosher, 2007)

Music for Tourists is the debut indie pop album by Chris Garneau. After years of playing in Brooklyn, Garneau was recommended to their indie record company, Absolutely Kosher, by the band Xiu Xiu, who were also on the label. Music for Tourists took two years to record. Mostly because producer Duncan Sheik was very busy at the time. Music for Tourists failed to chart in the U.S. It was also almost universally panned by critics, claiming the album was “lyrically atrocious.”
