Battle Cry board game (Milton Bradley, 1961)

As part of Milton Bradley’s American Heritage series, Battle Cry was a board game based on the American Civil War.

Each side gets 22 pieces (10 infantry, 10 cavalry and 2 artillery). The object is to line your pieces up in such a way against your enemy so you can win the battle — and eventually wipe out the enemy’s army.

In 2000, a board game of the same name was also based on the American Civil War, but this version used cards instead of dice that determined moves in the 60s version. To win the 2000 version, you had to achieve a certain number of victory points.
