Beezin
I stumbled upon another “faux fad” and this one is a cautionary tale about staying until the end of the very end of the credits. All fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe knows to stay until the end of the movie to get juicy tidbits and teasers and this “fad” should help you learn it too.
A video went viral of teens engaged in “beezin,” or slathering Burt’s Bees Beeswax Lip Balm on their eyelids. It was either supposed to produce its own high or enhance the high from a drug. It was even reported on just how dangerous it really was. And before you ask, yes, it only happens from Burt’s Bees’ Lip Balm, you don’t receive a high from any other brand of lip balm. (Sounding suspicious?) Now, if you stayed until the end of the video you would have learned right then and there that the video was a parody. In fact, spreading Burt’s Bees Lip Balm on your eyelids not produce a high. If anything happens (you start crying or your eyes get red), you’re experiencing an allergic reaction to the peppermint oil contained in the balm.
