Rappin Rodney (RCA Victor, 1983)
Rappin Rodney was a rap-influenced novelty song off American comedian Rodney Dangerfield’s 1983 comedy album of the same name. It was co-written by J.B. Moore and Robert Ford Jr. (who worked on Kurtis Blow’s The Breaks). A video featuring rock singer Pat Benatar and writer/actor Don Novello as Father Guido Sarducci was played on heavy rotation on MTV at the time of the release.
The rest of the album contains stand up comedy recorded live at Catch a Rising Star in New York City.
