Don’t Look Now(British Lion Films, 1973)

Don’t Look Now is an Italian (“A Venezia…un Diciembre rosso shocking”) British independent thriller film. It was adapted from the short story of the same name by Daphne du Maurier. Julie Christie and Donald Sutherland play a married couple who travel to Venice after the accidental death of their daughter. They meet a clairvoyant who tells them their daughter is trying to contact them to warn of danger. Don’t Look Now is renowned for its innovative editing and use of recurring motifs and a controversial sex scene that was explicit for its time. It is now considered a classic and influential work of horror and British film.
