The Breast Milk Baby (Berjuan Toys, 2010)

The Breast Milk Baby was designed to help little girls grow up to be wonderful mommies and to imitate mothers in a natural, caring way. The Baby encourages girls to nurture skills like changing, bathing, swaddling, singing, cuddling and rocking to sleep. Yes, the doll does simulate the breast-feeding process. It includes a halter-top that girls wear and put the doll’s mouth to the flower decoration on the top so the baby can make a suckling sound. After feeding, the doll makes crying sounds to be burped and swaddled.

The Breast Feeding Doll has won awards by the Dr. Toy Best Children’s Products and for Dr. Toy 10 Best Socially Responsible Products.

Unsurprisingly, there has been much controversy over the doll mostly over whether the doll over-sexualizes young girls.
