Popsicles and Icicles The Murmaids (1964)

The Murmaids were a one-hit wonder female vocal trio composed of sisters Carol and Terry Fischer and Sally Gordon (their friend and neighbor) from Los Angeles, California. The sisters’ father Carl Fischer composed Billie Holiday’s You’ve Changed. Popsicles and Icicles began getting airplay on Los Angeles radio stations in October 1963 and nationally in November 1963. In January 1964 Popsicles and Icicles peaked at #3 in the U.S. and #12 in Australia.
