Whole Wide World (RCA, 1990)

Born Amy Trujillo, A’Me Lorain was the lead singer of the band The Family Affair. The band also featured her brother Freddy on bass and (then) husband Victor Indrizzo on guitar and drums. A’Me Lorain and the Family Affair released their debut album, Starring In…Standing in a Monkey Sea. In 1990, they had a dance hit with the song Whole Wide World. It peaked at #9 on the dance chart and crossed over to the Hot 100 where it peaked at #9 again. Whole Wide World was also featured on the soundtrack for the film True Love (1989).
