Everybody Else is Doing It, So Why Can’t We? (Island, 1993)

The debut album from the Irish rock band from The Cranberries was called Everybody Else is Doing It, So Why Can’t We? This was the band’s first full-length album. (Previously they had released four EPs.) If the thing everyone else was doing was having a number one album in the UK (and Ireland), then The Cranberries did it too. Everybody Else is Doing It, So Why Can’t We was certified Gold in France, Platinum in Australia and Canada, double Platinum in the UK and 5 times Platinum in the U.S.

The singles were: Dreams and Linger. Dreams was first released in September 1992 and re-released in April 1994. It peaked at #9 in Ireland, #27 in the UK, #30 in Australia and #42 in the U.S. Linger was first released in February 1993 then again in January 1994. Linger peaked ay #3 in Ireland, #14 in the UK, #38 in New Zealand and #8 in the U.S. Additionally, Sunday and Still Can’t… were used as promotional singles.
