Crush (Sony Pictures, 2001)

In rural Britain, schoolmistress Kate (Andie MacDowell), police superintendent Janine (Imelda Staunton) and doctor Molly (Anna Chancellor)
share the goings on in their dating lives in weekly chats.

Crush was written and directed by John McKay. It was based on his play Crush, in which an older woman falls for a younger man. Later, McKay saw
a group of women doctors who would hash over their dating lives. He changed his play to include more women. The play then turned into a movie script. Crush was released in the UK in June 2002, in Germany in September 2002 and was screened at the Edinburgh Film Festival in August 2001.
