The Cigarette Diet

In the 1920s cigarette manufacturers played up the weight loss benefits of their products. Apparently instead of eating, you were to light up and smoke instead. Since then, smoking has been linked to many deadly medical conditions, including heart disease and cancer.

While it’s true that cigarettes have no calories and nicotine is a stimulant, no one recommends replacing food with a cigarette. Except maybe (still) cigarette manufacturers. (But that’s only because they want your money.)
