Talk Talk The Music Machine (Original Sound, 1966)

Talk Talk is one of the earliest examples of protopunk, music from the mid-1960s to the mid-1970s that influenced punk rock. Protopunk is not a distinct musical genre as it includes a wide range of musical backgrounds and styles. Talk Talk was the debut single of the American garage rock band, The Music Machine. Talk Talk was the band’s only Top 20 Hot 100 single, peaking at #15. Recording Talk Talk took three hours, two takes and cost a measly $150. On tour, Talk Talk became a signature song. It went on to become the lead single off their debut album, (Turn On) The Music Machine.
