Clatter Pull-Toy Telephone (Fisher-Price, 1962)

The Clatter Telephone is Fisher-Price’s
best-selling product. You’d be hard pressed to find a 12-month to 36-month-old who didn’t play with this roll-along pull toy. The phone has a smiling face and, when pulled, makes a chattering sound with eyes that move up and down. The phone has a rotary dial. It literally was every baby’s first “cell” phone.

In 2000, Fisher-Price decided to go modern and changed the dial to a push button. Consumers complained and the rotary dial returned in 2001.
