The Cheater Bob Kuban and the In-Men (1966)

American musician Bob Kuban formed his band The In-Men in 1964. Kuban served as drummer and frontman/bandleader. The In-Men were an 8-piece band with horns. In 1966 they hit #12 in the U.S. with The Cheater. Though they never scored another major hit on the charts again, St. Louis, Missouri-born Kuban remained a fixture on the St. Louis music scene for decades.

TRIVIA: The singer on The Cheater was a man named Walter Scott. (The Cheater tells the story of the downfall of an unfaithful lover.) Scott was murdered in 1983 in a plot by his wife and her lover.
