Love You So Ron Holden (Donna Records, 1960)

Ron Holden was born in Seattle. He was discovered by a former police officer, Larry Nelson, who left the force to start a record company. Holden released Love You So. It hit #7 on the Hot 100 and #11 on Billboard’s R&B Singles charts. A full length EP Love You So was quickly released. Holden returned to the R&B chart in 1974 with Can You Talk? (#49).

Holden spread the (unconfirmed) rumor that he had been discovered by Nelson while being held after an arrest for marijuana and alcohol possession. Holden died in Rosarito, Baja California, Mexico on January 22, 1997 after suffering a heart attack.
