It’s Pat (Touchstone Pictures, 1994)

This 1994 American comedy film was based on the Saturday Night Live character Pat, an androgynous misfit whose gender has never been revealed. The character was created by American comedienne Julia Sweeney.

The plot: Pat meets and falls in love with Chris (Dave Foley). Pat’s neighbor Kyle (Charles Rocket) sets out on a mission to uncover Pat’s true gender.

Universally panned by both critics and audiences, the film took in a dismal $61,000 (yes, thousand, not million).
