Eunice Sanborn (July 20, 1896 – January 31, 2011)

Eunice Sanborn was born in Lake Charles, Louisiana, the daughter of German and Irish immigrants. Her first marriage ended when her husband was killed in a car accident. During this brief marriage, Sanborn had a daughter who passed away at age 90. Eunice married for a second and a third time.

Sanborn is best known as the oldest living person in the world. Upon her death at 115 years old, she was the 43rd oldest person in recorded history.
